Claire White

Claire White (Brookline, MA) is a pediatric orthopedist at Boston Children’s Hospital. She grew up in Needham and now lives in Brookline with her husband, Andrew, and children, Matthew, Henry, and Emmy, along with their two labradors, Cassie and Rocco.

Claire has a long history of working with youth. As a senior at Wellesley College, she started the “Mad Scientist Club” at the James Hennigan after-school program. She later chaired the Committee Overseeing Volunteer Services at Yale School of Medicine, strengthening community-campus partnerships in New Haven.

After completing her pediatric residency and critical care fellowship at Yale, Claire moved to Boston in 2007, working as a hospitalist in the Medical-Surgical ICU at Boston Children’s. She joined the Department of Medicine in 2012, and in 2018, she transitioned to the Department of Orthopedics, specializing in non-operative pediatric orthopedics.

During the COVID pandemic, Claire became actively involved in her community, organizing service opportunities for local children and supporting food justice initiatives. She now advises the Healthcare Professions course at Brookline High School and volunteers with local rowing teams and community organizations. Claire aims to connect more youth and families with CRWA over the next 5-10 years.
