DATA VISUALIZATION INTERN
SUMMER 2025 INTERNSHIP
Data Visualization
The Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) seeks a qualified summer intern to support the work of our River Science program. The intern will support CRWA’s water quality monitoring programs by creating a visual and interactive dashboard to communicate our past and future data to the public. CRWA’s River Science program currently collects water quality data ranging from E. coli bacteria concentrations and water temperature to nutrients, pigments, and total suspended solids, however we only publicly display our monthly E. coli data online via our E. coli Dashboard. The intern would complete the development of a Python Google Notebook that will create a visual interactive map to post online on CRWA's website and create clear instructions for anyone who would need to upload more data, as well as troubleshooting issues documentation.
There are opportunities for field work (environmental sampling) depending upon the intern's interest.
