Get outside this fall and join us to explore the Back Bay Fens and discover the rich history and current state of the Muddy River!

Join us as we envision potential ‘end-of-pipe’ nature-based solutions to improve water quality in this polluted water body. Share your thoughts on the Muddy River’s future — what do you love, what worries you, and what challenges do you foresee? This walk is an opportunity to express your vision for the future of the Muddy River. Let’s work together for a cleaner river!

PARKING OPTIONS:

PUBLIC TRANSIT: 

  • 12 min walk from Fenway T Stop (Green Line, D Branch)

  • 4 min walk from Ave. Louis Pasture @ The Fenway Bus Stop, off of Routes 8, 19, and 47

BIKE: 

  • Directly off of Emerald Necklace Trail Shared Use Path

ACCESSIBILITY:

The path includes a mix of paved and unpaved sections. Be prepared to walk on some uneven terrain. The walk will be approximately 1 mile long and end near the start point.
