Tale of Two Brooks: Fuller Brook BioBlitz

In 2025, CRWA is organizing two community science environmental surveys to understand baseline conditions along Cheesecake Brook compared to the restored Fuller Brook in Wellesley. 

Join CRWA staff and Wellesley’s Natural Resources Commission Director Brandon Schmitt for a guided walk along the restored Fuller Brook. You’ll learn how to use iNaturalist to catalog flora and fauna, collecting vital community science data for our “BioBlitz” biological survey.

Explore the impact of river restoration projects on the ecosystem and its biodiversity! Don’t miss out on this fun, family-friendly event. 

GETTING THERE: Parking is available at the Wellesley High School Parking lot, located at 50 Rice Street in Wellesley, MA. Please park toward the North side of the parking lot. Public transportation is available via the MBTA Commuter Rail Framingham/Worcester line to Wellesley Hills.

MEETING LOCATION: We will meet at the Wellesley High School Parking Lot, one block to the start of Fuller Brook Path!

ACCESSIBILITY: The path includes a mix of paved and unpaved sections. Be prepared to walk on some uneven terrain.
