Lisa oversees CRWA’s river restoration work, including dam removal, aquatic invasives management, and site-specific restoration projects. She joined CRWA in 2018 as the Rita Barron Fellow, where she contributed technical and community engagement skills to CRWA's watershed restoration and climate adaptation efforts. Her vision for the River Science program is to collect reliable water quality data that is both communicated clearly to the public and used to support CRWA’s advocacy goals.
Lisa received her B.S. in Geology in 2013 from UMass Amherst and conducted her graduate research at Boston College, where she studied the evolution of the Yellow River Delta in China. Combining her passions for science, education, and social justice, she has previously worked with AmeriCorps and Mass Audubon. Lisa brings these experiences to her work at CRWA where she strives to make progress toward climate change equity. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys singing, hiking, playing with her cats, and spending time with her wife and twins.
