Congratulations, Marielena!

We are so pleased to announce Marielena Lima is transitioning to a new role as CRWA's Watershed Scientist!

Marielena first joined CRWA in 2022, and recently acted as our Volunteer & Education Coordinator, overseeing volunteer programs and school education.

Now, she looks forward to running CRWA’s water quality monitoring programs, which include bacteria, nutrients, macroinvertebrates, cyanobacteria, chloride, and low-flow monitoring throughout the watershed.

We develop science-based strategies to increase resilience, protect public health, and promote environmental equity as we confront a changing climate.
