Susie Klein
Susie Klein (Wayland, MA) is an avid sailor and rower, spending three to four days a week on the Charles during warmer months. She started her working career as a journalist, with articles and op-eds published in Newsweek, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe and Sail Magazine. She spent 20 years working in public and investor relations, advising CEOs and CFOs of public companies on communications matters and serving as their liaison to securities analysts, investors and the financial media. In 2010 she followed her family on a long-term work assignment to France and became an adjunct English professor at French universities. After returning to Boston, Susie taught ESL at colleges and adult education programs. Now retired, she is a former president of the Boston chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute and currently serves on the board of Framingham Adult ESL. Susie holds a bachelor’s degree with top honors in English and a master’s degree in journalism—both from the University of California, Berkeley. Among other accomplishments, she sailed with her husband and then-teenage children from Boston to Turkey in 2005-06 on a 40-foot sailboat and placed first in division with her men’s crew (as the coxswain) in the 2019 Head of the Charles Regatta.
