Charles River in the Budget!

We are so pleased to announce several budget successes!

In the House, thank you to Rep. Mike Moran for $50K for climate resilience in Allston, Rep. Kay Khan for $100k for aquatic invasive removal, Rep. Thomas Stanley for $100k for the Hardy Pond restoration project, and Rep. John Lawn for $250K to study river restoration.

In the Senate, thank you to Sen. Cindy Creem for $85K for restoration of Cheesecake Brook and $30M for cities and towns that adopted the Community Preservation Act.

Final budget negotiations will soon be underway, and we’re advocating for this critical funding to be included and sent to Governor Healey for her signature later this summer - stay tuned!
