Charles River Legislative Briefing

Thank you to all who attended our Legislative Briefing, including many legislators and staff!

We shared our six legislative priorities for the 2023-2024 session–the Drought Management Bill (H.861, S.475), MVP+ Bill (S.599), Outdoor Recreation Act (H.757, S.488), Flood Reduction Protection Act (H.876, S.557), Invasive Species Bill (H.890, S.508), and Pesticide Bill (H.825, S.487).

Together, these priorities respond to the dual threats of climate change and environmental injustice–offering solutions to protect our communities from drought and flooding, create inclusive outdoor recreation opportunities, and restore a healthy ecosystem.

We shared additional advocacy priorities––opportunities to restore Hardy Pond to mitigate flooding, efforts to remove defunct dams, and more.

We develop science-based strategies to increase resilience, protect public health, and promote environmental equity as we confront a changing climate.
