MONDAY: WHIP CLARK TO HIGHLIGHT FEDERAL INVESTMENTS IN NATICK FLOOD MITIGATION

MEDIA ADVISORY

NATICK, MA––On Monday, July 24, Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (MA-5) will join the Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) to announce how federal funds will be used to manage storm runoff and mitigate flooding in Natick and all across the Charles River watershed. Last year, Whip Clark secured $400,000 in federal funding to help the CRWA mitigate flood risks and bolster local climate resilience. Having recently received these funds, the CRWA will highlight how it is putting this investment to work.

Climate change is bringing heavier, more violent storms across America and New England. Precipitation during heavy rainfall has increased by 55 percent since 1958. Just this month, storms inflicted devastating floods across New England.
