Rose Mallow Bloom Kayak Tour

  • Millennium Park Canoe Launch 300 Gardner Street Boston, MA, 02132 United States (map)

Lining the banks of the Charles River, the rose mallow plant has spectacular displays of giant dessert-plate-sized flowers, that come in various shades of pink and white. Professor Richard Primack of Boston University will lead a two hour kayak tour of the rose mallow sites, surely one of the most remarkable wildflower presentations in the United States.

Professor Primack is a plant ecologist at Boston University. His research focuses on the effects of climate change on the flowering times of wildflowers and the leafing out times of trees. He is the author of leading textbooks in conservation biology.
